I basically threw my last To-Do list in the woodchipper. I've been distracted from learning over the last week because Grand Sumo started again and I've been really fixated on it--which, by the way, ganbate Aonishiki-san!
I finished the Noji (Anki) formatted Beginner Verb List document and uploaded it. I also totally reworked the organization of the "Learning Materials" Section of the site. The Learning Materials are organized into sub-pages by type/topic. The Beginner Verb List is currently in a sub-page of the "Vocabulary" section of Learning Materials. Because I think the BVL should be pretty helpful for people, I also included it in the dropdown menu so people can find it quickly.
The Verb Table page is going to need similar reorganization into sub-pages--I should probably do that sooner rather than later.
I haven't made much progress on Vocabulary Handouts or any new essays--I've spent most of my language study time over the last week moreso on making study materials than actually studying. I'm hoping to get back on track--now that I'm done with the BVL, I can use it myself. I've got Noji decks made for each section of the BVL, and I'm working on correcting the superscripting problem--when you copy/paste from Word into Noji, it undoes superscripting which makes phonetic tone notation much harder to read. Once I've corrected the superscripting issue in each deck, I'll share them to the Noji library if possible.
From here, I'd like to make handout-style pdfs for the BVL--one for each grouping of verbs. These would be documents that are more print-and-study friendly--which the Noji formatted document absolutely is not. I'm imagining "Verb Table Lite" documents that list 1st and 3rd Person Index forms for a few Tenses, as well as example sentences, for each verb.
Besides that idea, I think I'm going to dial-in on making a few more vocabulary handouts--especially Body Parts and Clothes. I'm also working on an essay about common patterns and issues in Verb Roots.
